FBF was engaged to deliver a fabrication solution for a series of new Industrial Complex Units development in Heathwood. The project required robust window awnings that could span the tilt-slab walls while maintaining a high-quality, visually striking finish across multiple units.

FBF undertook the design, drafting, fabrication, and installation of solid, full-surround window awnings, extending 600mm from the tilt-slab walls. The awnings feature vertical timber-look aluminium battens, providing the warmth and visual appeal of timber while leveraging the strength, lightweight properties, and long-term durability of aluminium.

All components were fabricated in-house at our Kunda Park facility, ensuring precise quality control and consistency across the five units.

The project required careful coordination with the client and onsite construction teams to ensure the awnings were installed efficiently and accurately. Detailed reviews of batten spacing, alignment, and finishes were conducted before installation, ensuring the final product met both functional requirements and the design intent for the industrial estate.

The completed awnings deliver a robust, low-maintenance solution that enhances the aesthetic character of the Industrial Complex Units. With precise engineering, premium materials, and expert installation, FBF successfully combined form and function, providing a durable feature that elevates the visual identity of the development.
